Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D (10/9/10)
You're a loser if you don't catch this in 3D.
Speaking from a Resident Evil virgin here:
Because I'm telling you that the effects in this film is as comparable to Avatar.
From the start of the film, the words pop out into you. The weapons that were launched, the blood that splashes and the rain that falls, its all towards you. Seriously.
Its the first time I see a slow moving action film, with lots of slow motion scenes in it. The purpose is to bring out the best in the 3D effects. The reason why the effects is so good, its because, Paul Anderson, the director, used James Cameron's camera system. James Cameron is the director of Avatar and Titanic.
The film begins with Milla's many smart duplicates, entering into Albert's territory and hunt him down. Unfortunately, he escaped and started to capture people from a ship and hold them hostages. Milla, started to hunt down for her friends. She flew a plane and made a crazy landing on top of the building whereby any more less brakes applied would leave her falling off the cliff of the building to the ground full of zombies. On top of that building were some people, seeking for help from the air transport. And these people thought help has arrive. But no, Milla, is also looking for help herself from the zombies. The group split up, one group went to get the weapons which they had to dive into the waters to get to the next level. The other group went to get a vehicle. One of them in the group was selfish and shot another one dead and took the plane on top of the building and left to the ship, which was supposed to be a safety ground.
The rest of the group then settle to making a way out with a tunnel created from the zombies that had tried to attack them. From the tunnel, they made a way with a raft to the ship and in the ship, is where the battle begins again. They began rescuing the hostages and finally met Albert who was waiting for them there. The film ends with the hostage rescued, but tones of enemy planes began flying over. We wait for the next sequal of Resident Evil...
The best 3D effect in the film:
Milla and her friend battling with the giant zombie that used a huge swinging weapon. When the zombie was about to die, it swings the huge weapon towards them and it really felt like it hit the audience.
Honestly, this is my first squeal. So I judge in comparison to the previous few.
Recommended if you love 3D movies. 4/5 star.
