Life as we know it review (14/10/10)

I think Katherine Heigl did quite a good job in this movie. She totally fits into the character of a working mum, not just any ordinary working mum but a mum who runs a business; in this case, a food business. Josh Duhamel is more of just being there to look good "father". So obviously you've read from else where that they started of as enemies. They were friends of the baby's parents. So their friends wanted to setup a date for them one day and Josh weren't so into it. When Katherine was dressed beautifully in a long red dress and Josh rode his bike over and wanted her to get on the bike. She told him she wasn't dress for taking bikes and decided to use her car instead. Her car was pathetic, like a cherry QQ and when she found out Josh didn't book a restaurant or a place. And in the car, he received a call. Josh said its fine and told Katherine to carry on, but Katherine was so distracted by the ring tone that she couldn't carry on. This part is quite funny. And when Josh picked up, he was talking to the other girls that often hang out with him. Katherine was kinda turned off by that and decided to call off the date.

So when their friends past away, they were shocked to learn from the lawyer that it was written in the will to pass their baby to the hands of Katherine and Josh to parent. Obviously they were shock. These parts are quite funny. They did good expressions.

So the rest of the movie was about how they made schedules to take care of the baby and Josh went about his girls thingy and she went about going dates with a guy she liked. But when they had to take care of the baby together, Josh simply keep trying to run away from the job, like making her change the diapers and not letting her know that there's shit on her face while she went to meet the house guest. Katherine get back on him by using his cap for the baby to shit. They had a good big argument when Katherine decided to sell the house and Josh wasn't told about it. Because Josh and Katherine were given this house by their deceased friends. Josh wasn't told because he was so upset that he went away for awhile. He was offered a job else where which he couldn't resist, a high profile job. Somehow, Katherine and Josh decided to take responsibility over the baby again and Josh decided not to take the job offer.

3.5/5. More for pregnant ladies, or ladies with infant or parents who just wanna reminiscence the good old baby rising days. The movie might be alittle lengthy due to the dating scenes between Josh and Katherine and Katherine and the other guy she likes. Not my kind of comedy. But I think the acting and chemistry between them is really good. In comparison to the other currently showing comedies like Dinner for Schmucks and The Other guy. In my opinion, Dinner for Schmucks tops the other two.
