The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

I'm not sure why the world is crazy over it. Its just another ordinary love story. Tell me where the passion is? People in US, queue for 3 nights just to catch the stars walk by into the theatres where the gala premier is held. They dont even get to watch the gala premier. Its rare to see such good morals coming from an American film. Edward says he wants to get married first before having sex. After hearing that, every girl wants to support the vampire, Edward's team already. Its that simple. The battle is won then. I think Jacob is more handsome. I'm in no position to judge this film as this is my first twilight film.

3/5 star.

Not TEKKEN enough to the end. (29/7/10)

Recommended for all who like fighting shows. Its literally fighting all the way from start to the end. Unlike the recent 2 IP Man films and Karate Kid, where the fighting scenes only last over a short period each time. BUT, I'm not sure whether the girls would enjoy it. Anyway, the movie didn't end well. There should have been longer fighting scenes with Bryan and the final challenger. Nice moral ending. Anyway, side issue, Japanese is favored in this film and the girls are hot in here.

3.5/5 star.

Nodame Cantabile - The Finale

If you have been following this series of film, you should continue to watch it. For first time watching, you have to be at least a fan of them or a music lover. This film would really teach a non classical music lover to understand about classical music more. However, if you really hate classical music, I suggest you don't watch. There would be explanation about Chopin and Beethoven's style of playing. Non classical lovers will definitely be bored. The songs used throughout are popular and fantastic works. I wish the playing were not dubbed, but its too flawless to be so. Really dramatic expressions displayed. Some of them are useful for musicians, but some and just playing with exaggeration.

The film does not end at the end credits, in fact it goes beyond the end credits.
Recommended especially for classical musicians. 4/5 star

Street Dance 3D!!!!!! (29/7/10)

Best film watched this week. If you are into Music, Dancing or have a taste for the ARTS, you should definitely go for it. You will not be disappointed. Its basically how a group of street dancers train 5 ballet dancers street dancing to infuse street dance with ballet together. Its street dancing throughout and I literally mean it. Even serving meals at the counters, the counter staff who are part of the street dance team is doing some form of dancing. So its a fun and party type of movie.
Its a British film. So you get to hear the British accent. Once you watch it, you won't forget it. Highly Recommended!!! 4/5 star rating.

au revoir taipei (29/7/10)

OMG!!! I'm sorry, I don't like this film. The actors though I understand that they were supposed to act this way. But I think, they are such retards. WTH!!! They're so shy. Like every single one is shy and kinda stupid in behavior and thoughts and thus actions. Its sweet to watch together as couples. But don't expect it to be good.

Here is one example. Erm... dancing in the bookshop??? It may look sweet but its stupid and weird for the film to end this way.
Its basically about that Jack Yao learning french from a book in a bookstore everyday and this Amber Kuo who is the bookstore staff starts to chat with him and they happened to meet on the street one day and they found themselves going through some problems/hurdles together before he leaves for Paris the next day. The introduction is kinda weird. It shows Jack Yao sending Amber Kuo to a taxi off to somewhere but it ends with Amber Kuo sending Jack Yao off. I don't understand. You taiwan movie lovers should explain it to me. Sorry, Taiwan, your style's sooo old fashion. Get a life.

These three monkeys have really poor acting skills:

Compare this film with Love in a Puff, HK film. Of course Love in a Puff is 10 times better and sweeter. Not recommended at all and a generous 2.5 stars from me. This film will never top Singapore's box office.

Aftershock (22/7/10)

Of course you should know that this film is about the disaster that happens to that particular province in china and the building collapsed. So, what happen is that, the mother has to choose between saving the son or the daughter and not both, because by lifting the rubble off one, it will kill the other. The mum chose the son. Now thinking that the daughter is dead, she went on with her life with her son. The daughter however wasn't dead and was being fostered by some parent. Watch how finally they found back one another and well, i can't make you tear but they can. Impressive. Recommended only if you have time.

3.5 star.

Ong Bak 3

Its the first Ong Bak film I watched and I'm sorry, it wasn't that good in my opinion. Its so bloody, muddy, gory and kinda fake. It simply just try to portray that the fighting moves were similar to dance moves thats all. One part of it I didn't understand was when Tien said some kinda phrase which I didn't remember what when he was fighting with the Crow Ghost. Crow Ghost actually threw a spear straight and killed him. But in fact he was not killed. That was actually a dream. WTH??!!! Can someone explain??

I'm gona spoil this out for those who wana know the story and don't wana watch the film. Crow Ghost defeated the previous king with some of his ridiculously stupid devilish powers and he was king. While he was king, he made everyone suffer like slaves and Tien came to the rescue to defeat Crow Ghost and Tien finally became King. There were some waste time actions in the middle portion with him dancing with a lady just to prolong the movie length. The film begins with Tien being whipped till bleed. Intense beginning.

Overall 3 Stars. Honestly, this film is not recommended. Get it back to Thailand.
